Truffled almonds with dark chocolate are made using peeled almonds of the “Tuono” variety from Sicily, a type with particular organoleptic and nutritional characteristics (sweet, rich in Vitamin E, low in oil and therefore an ally in maintaining low levels of cholesterol) and 70& dark chocolate to cover them. The surface is then covered with unsweetened cocoa powder to give then the same appearance of truffles - hence the term “truffled”.
Ingredients: Extra dark chocolate* (Cocoa paste*, Cane sugar*, Cocoa butter*, Emulsifier: Soy Lecithin, Vanilla Extract*), roasted Almonds* 33%. Surface covered in Unsweetened Powder Cocoa*. Cocoa percentage in chocolate: min. 70%.
